1.1.6  VOC / THM / Pesticide / Organic Removal

可挥发性有机物/三卤甲烷/杀虫剂/有机物脱除

Many drinking water sources require removal of organic compounds for health or aesthetic reasons. The special activated carbon products have been used for years as a cost-effective and reliable solution to VOC/THM/Pesticide/Organic removal.

出于健康或外观方面的原因,要求将水源中的有机化合物尽可能多地被脱除掉。一些特制的活性炭产品做为低成本的、可靠的脱除水中可挥发性有机物、三卤甲烷、杀虫剂和其它有机物的方法,已应用了许多年。

1.1.7  NDMA Destruction  亚硝基二甲胺的销毁处理

It is now believed that NDMA (N-nitrosodimethylamine), found in rocket fuels, is also produced in wastewater treatment plants. A known carcinogen, it presents a public health problem when even trace amounts are present in drinking water. The special activated carbon products and facilities packed these activated carbons can be used to remove-off and destruct NDMA from drinding water.

经确认,以前曾在火箭燃料中发现的亚硝基二甲胺(NDMA)在污水处理厂也有产生。做为已知的一种致癌物,即使在饮用水中仅有痕量存在也会引起公共健康问题。特制的活性炭产品及装填有这种活性炭吸附剂的装置能脱去并销毁饮用水中的NDMA物质。

1.1.8  Perchlorate Removal and Destruction

高氯酸盐的脱除和销毁

Medical studies have shown that when ingested perchlorate - a key component of explosives, fireworks, matches, and rocket fuels - interferes with normal functioning of the thyroid gland. The compound is stable in groundwater, and is present in a significant number of water sources. The special activated carbon products and facilities packed these activated carbons have developed for perchlorate removal and destruction.

医学研究表明,摄入高氯酸盐(一种用于炸药、烟花爆竹、火柴及火箭推进燃料的关键组分)会阻碍甲状腺的正常机能。这种化合物可稳定地保持在地下水中,同时也被发现存在于各类水源体。

特制的活性炭产品及装填有这种活性炭吸附剂的装置已成功开发并用来脱除和销毁水中的高氯酸盐。

1.2 Home Water Filtration/Point of Entry (POE)/Point of Use (POU)家庭用水过滤/入口/用户端水处理

1.2.1  Dechlorination/Chloramine Removal脱氯/脱氯胺

Treatment with chlorine is the most common method of providing a biologically safe drinking water supply. After treatment, however, chlorine remaining in the water at the tap can cause undesirable taste and odor, and may contribute to health problems.

To avoid problems associated with the formation of trihalomethanes (THMs), many municipalities are switching to chloramine instead of chlorine for disinfection of drinking water. As with chlorine, however, unreacted chloramines may persist in the treated water, causing taste and odor problems when the water is drawn.

Granular activated carbon products have been used for years to remove tastes and odors associated with chlorine and chloramine, and home water filtration systems and equipment can offer an effective method for chlorine and chloramine removal for both point of entry (POE) and point of use (POU) applications.

加氯消毒是传统的提高饮用水生物安全性的方法,但水中氯的残留会带来令人不愉快的气味和味道,并可能引发健康方面的问题。

另外,为避免加氯消毒产生的三氯甲烷(THMs),很多自来水公司采用氯胺替代传统的氯气做消毒剂,但同样地,也会因残留的氯胺而带来异嗅和异味问题。

颗粒活性炭用于脱除水中由氯气和氯胺引起的异嗅和异味已有许多年的应用历史。家庭用的水过滤系统和过滤装置既可安装于进水端,亦可安装于出水终端(水嘴),是有效的脱除水中残留氯和氯胺类消毒剂的最终保护办法。

1.2.2  Hydrogen Sulfide Removal  硫化氢脱除

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is well known for its characteristic "rotten egg" odor and associated taste problems in drinking water. In home water supply systems, Granular activated carbon products and home water filtration systems and equipment can offer a unique solution for hydrogen sulfide removal for both point of entry (POE) and point of use (POU) applications.

硫化氢是众所周知的具有“臭鸡蛋”气味的物质,使饮用水产生非常糟糕的味道。在家庭的供水系统中,颗粒活性炭产品和家用水过滤系统和过滤装置可用来有效去除水中的硫化氢污染物。家庭用的水过滤系统和过滤装置既可安装于进水端,亦可安装于出水终端(水嘴)。
