1.4.6.2  Emergency Spill Treatment  事故泄漏水的处理

Despite best practices, industrial and transportation firms, among others, often experience accidents whereby substantive amounts of organic compounds are released into the environment. First responders are quickly mobilized to contain these spills or limit their migration. This generally involves the movement of these organic compounds into the aqueous phase, or may involve containment of the spill in a receiving body of water. At this point, this water requires effective treatment to both manage the organic compounds and allow discharge of the contaminated water.

生产型和运输类企业以及与其相关的其他产业,尽管都曾经过良好的培训,但仍会经常遭遇有机化合物泄漏到周围环境的事故。事故响应的第一步是迅速将泄漏源转移或采取措施限制其泄漏的速度,相应措施包括将有机化合物转化为液态物相,或者通过喷淋将其转移到附近的水体。对于后者,则必须对接受了污染物的水体进行处理。(活性炭被用来处理含有有机物的水体的处理)。

1.4.6.3  Hydrotest Water Treatment  水压试验排出水的处理

In many applications, large volumes of water may be used for hydrotesting both new and existing tanks and pipelines for leaks or pressure capability. In the case of new systems, this water may become contaminated with chlorinated solvents used for surface preparation, and, in the case of existing equipment, may become contaminated with residual products. It may have unacceptable contamination by organic compounds that prevent its discharge to site effluent, surface waters or other facilities. Activated carbon products can be used to remove these organic contaminants.

在很多领域,为了对新建或已有贮罐和管道系统进行密封性能或耐压性能检测而排出大量的试验用水。对于新建系统,这些水可能已被含氯的表面处理溶剂所污染;对于已有的设备,也有可能因设备中残留的物质而使水受到污染。被有机物污染的水不允许排入当地的河流、地表水源或其它用水设备,应采用活性炭脱除有机污染物之后才能排放。

1.4.6.4  Lagoon / Impounded Water Treatment  池塘/滞留水的处理

Waters are often collected by industrial or other sites in lagoons, ponds, pits or large storage tanks for either long-term storage or holding prior to discharge. This water may by contaminated by organic compounds that prevent its discharge to site effluent, surface waters or other facilities. Activated carbon products can be used to remove these organic contaminants.

工业或其它用水企业经常会采取将废水以氧化池、池塘、凹陷坑或大型贮槽的方式收集起来,或者进行长期贮存,或者先保存再排放。这些在贮存过程中可能已遭受有机污染的废水不允许排入当地的河流、地表水源或其它用水设备,应采用活性炭脱除有机污染物之后才能排放。

1.4.6.5  Stormwater Runoff  暴雨排放水的处理

Many industrial sites, including transportation facilities, contain large, paved areas that collect numerous minor drips and spills of organic compounds. Because of organic contamination, site operators are required to collect and treat water from these areas that is generated during precipitation. This water must be treated to protect surface waters or groundwater if the water is allowed to drain onto ground areas. Activated carbon products can be used to remove these organic contaminants.

许多工业型和运输类企业均建设了大型的雨水及有机化合物泄漏收集系统,由于有机质污染,这些企业被要求对该类废水沉淀处理过程中进行脱有机质处理,以保护地表水体或地下水源。活性炭可用来脱除该类有机物质。

2.1 Residential & Commercial Air Filtration

As residential and commercial buildings become more airtight in an effort to improve energy efficiency, indoor air quality within these buildings becomes a prime concern. While particulate filters can handle physical filtration needs, but an air filter filled with one of activated carbons and/or the “activated carbon sorbent”(an activated carbon impregnated with specially ingredient) can handle odor and molecular organic contamination associated with indoor air quality.

出于能源效率方面的考虑,居民住宅和商业建筑已变得越来越密闭,而室内空气质量也相应地成为首要关注问题。滤尘器只能满足物理过滤要求,而加设了活性炭及/或“活性炭吸着剂”(采用浸渍技术负载了专用成分的活性炭)的过滤器则可用来处理影响室内空气质量的异味和分子级有机污染物。

2.2  Incinerator Flue Gas: Mercury / Dioxin Removal

焚烧炉烟气治理:汞及二恶英(戴奥辛)的脱除
