2.5.3  Mercury Removal  脱汞

Some carbon dioxide streams contain small quantities of mercury. The presence of mercury is a health and safety concern, especially for food-grade carbon dioxide. Granular activated carbons and specialty grade impregnated activated carbons can be used for mercury removal from carbon dioxide.

某些二氧化碳原料气中含少量的汞,汞能引起健康和安全问题,尤其是食品级二氧化碳中绝不允许存在汞。颗粒活性炭和特制的浸渍活性炭可用来脱除二氧化碳气体中的汞。

2.6  Catalyst Protection  催化剂保护

Catalysts can be poisoned or fouled by low concentration organic compounds, sulfur or mercury species. Activated carbons, non-impregnated and impregnated types, are typically used as "guard beds" to protect the catalysts (from fouling and/or deactivation) and the equipment (from corrosion) in streams such as natural gas, acetylene, ethane-propane and ethylene oxide.

低浓度的有机物、含硫或含汞物质均能使催化剂发生中毒或污染。可在天然气、乙炔气、乙烷丙烷混合气、和环氧乙烷气流中设置非浸渍型或浸渍型活性炭“保护床层”,用以防止催化剂污染或/和失活、或者保护反应装置防止发生装置被腐蚀。

2.7  Amine Purification  胺类的提纯

Alkanolamines have been successfully used to treat sour gas for removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and carbon dioxide (CO2) for more than 30 years. More recently, alkanolamines have also been used to purify liquid hydrocarbon streams and process gas streams. Acid gas must be scrubbed because of the lack of heating value of CO2, the toxicity of H2S and the corrosiveness of CO2 and H2S in wet gas. A variety of granular activated carbons and specialty grade impregnated activated carbons can offer a proven solution in amine purification.

链烷醇胺用于酸性气体的处理如脱除硫化氢和去除二氧化碳,已成功应用了30多年,最近,链烷醇胺也被用来提纯液相碳氢化合物原料和气相工艺原料。由于二氧化碳无热值、硫化氢具毒性、且在湿的气相液体中二氧化碳和硫化氢都具有腐蚀性,故这些酸性气体组分必须在使用前加以彻底去除。一系列的颗粒活性炭以及特制的浸渍活性炭可用来对胺类原料进行提纯处理。

2.8  Decolorization/Organic Removal

脱色及脱除有机物

The need to remove color produced by organic contaminants in process liquids is common in the chemical-processing and petrochemical industries. Typical application of the purification process can be found in the manufacturing of glycerin, urea, monosodium glutamate, organic esters, soda ash, caustic liquors, and muriatic acid among others. Granular activated carbons offer a proven solution for decolorization/organic removal.

在化学反应过程和石油化工业,经常需要对液相原料中的有机着色性杂质进行脱除。这一提纯加工工序广泛存在于甘油、尿素、味精、有机酯类、苏打粉、苛性碱、以及盐酸的制造过程。颗粒活性炭可满足这一脱色和脱除有机杂质的要求。

2.9  Glycol Decolorization  甘油醇脱色

Several different glycols are used as solvents for the scrubbing (purification) of primarily hydrocarbon gas streams. But, because glycols are manufactured from petrochemical feedstock, they contain by-products from the chemical process, and must first be purified themselves. In addition, the impurities removed from the gas streams can react with the glycol itself, or under chemical decomposition as the glycol is treated for the contaminant removal. For both removal of by-product contamination from manufactured glycol, and removal of contaminants removed from gas streams, Activated Carbon Adsorption is a glycol decolorization solution.

几种不同的甘油醇常作为溶剂而用于气相有机物的洗涤提纯处理过程。但由于用石化原料制造甘油醇的过程中必然产生副产物,故必须先提纯甘油醇本身,之后才能作为溶剂使用。另外,从前述气相有机物中脱离的杂质成分也可能会与甘油醇发生化学反应、或在后继的溶剂脱污染物处理过程中发生化学分解反应,从而使甘油醇着色。不论是对甘油醇本身含有的副反应产物进行脱除,还是脱去其从气相有机物中洗涤出来的杂质,活性炭吸附法均可胜任甘油醇的脱色要求。

2.10  Solvent Recovery  溶剂回收
